It has all the traditional equipment machinery and software programs but especially a modern stereolitographic system for making resin prototypes of virtually unlimited geometrical complexity in record time.

Rapid prototyping
It is an EOS (D) STEREOS 400 which uses an Argon laser with high UV component and a surface power of 200 MW.
The 3D mathematical models necessary can be supplied directly from the design software through STL, IGES and VDA translators.
The parts are prepared using the Materialize (VSA) MAGICS support generator which also gives a forced ‘slicing’, allowing parts to be used for a variety of tests.
Other prototyping machines
The other tools are machines for swarf removing work (lathe, milling machine, drill…), backed up by a triple axis, CNC Cortini work centre.
The programs that pilot the work are developed on CAM Mastercam software, which receives 2D profiles directly from the design software in DXF language, along with Wireframe and 3D surfaces translated into IGES and VDA.
The materials used to make the samples are all metals (steel, brass, bronze, aluminium etc.) while particular experience has also been built up working techno-polymers such as POM, nylon, PPS, PPO, ABS, etc.
